Not Me Monday!

Today is NOT ME MONDAY! so I will let you all in on what I did NOT do this week:

I did NOT refresh my browser window repeatedly to see if Stellan was born yet-not me! That could be cyber-stalking!

I did NOT bribe my daughter with fruit snacks if she would do her school work, not me!

I did NOT tell the lady at the doctor's office that she was just jealous and wanted a dress just like mine when she stared at me for walking to the bathroom in one of those flimsy paper gowns.

And I absolutely did NOT fuss at a man for throwing litter in our yard. That might even be dangerous!

Lastly I did not eat some of my daughter's halloween candy although she did tell me I could ;)

The comment about the dress is something I would say, too!

Found your blog through McKmam's "Not Me Monday" post.

I literally just laughed out loud when I read your paper gown comment to the lady in the dr's office! Hysterical!

I thought the paper gown comment was too funny! I only WISH I could think that fast.

Yes, that really was her commenting on the blog. She told me me later that I could continue what I'm doing, for now. Who knew? And I sweated over posting that one, and almost chickened out!

I am NOT currently eating any of my boys halloween candy either - actually I am not eating the candy that we bought the day after halloween since we didn't take the boys out...

Love your list!!

I have done the bathroom walk in a flimsy gown before, too and I think people that stare at you when you do that are definitely jealous =)

thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment... I once walked way out into the appointment making space swaddled in a sheet and nothing else at the GYN office.. when they all whipped around because the patient in the window gasped, I calmly said, "it is like a freaking meat locker in that room - if you intend to keep me naked, at least let me be out here where it is warm or give me some hot cocoa" -- Needless to say, the doctor that had left me waiting over 1-1/2 hours magically appeared within 5 minutes of my mini-outburst.. I'm pretty sure they think I'm bonkers - he never makes me wait too long now...

on the medical front - I just skimmed some of your entries and didn't thoroughly read them. You should ask to be tested to rule out MS. I don't say this to scare you at all - it's just a possibility with what you are describing from the little bit I read - it would require an MRI at the least and a good neurologist, preferably 1 who specializes, to examine you - it can be tricky to diagnose early on. Again, I promise I'm not trying to scare you - I just know the frustration that you are feeling with every test seeming to come back negative, and the doctors can sometimes make you feel as if you are crazy or your symptoms are all in your head...

Oh, and I'm with your friend, what can be seen as a negative diagnosis is not a death sentence or even a disability sentence. So much has to do with your attitude and willingness to hand things over to the Father - this is a piece of writing I did after the start of the search for my diagnosis, a while after, first I had to get good and angry and holler and carry on --- a lot I'm not proud to say --

God bless and keep your chin up. Don't let anyone tell you what you are or are not feeling physically -you live in your body, you know if something isn't right - don't doubt yourself!

I just love it when people stare. Good for you for putting her in her place!
